Alot of the things you're complaining about (such as more realistic difficulty) are being praised in Mageworld and Hyperborea. The GUI is easy to get used to if you try, the skill system lets you choose what to increase, and when (which I, for one, found helpful), and alot of the Elemental skills are extremely helpful. The story is good, the GUI is good, the "no-potions" had me a bit worried at first but honestly, if you pay attention to the manual (free the spirits, don't capture them, you learn how to function without them anyway. "Not being able to simple attack something", by which I assume you mean "the player in real life has to click the target themselves" will be a part of DS2 anyway. Then again your not most people, are you pyro? Also I didnt think it was too hard. It was hard, but it was little more realistic compared to the DS norm where you kill everything one hit. I think you guys are complaining just because now you have an actual challenge and cant have it the easy way.
