I thought I'd revisit some old school Dungeon Siege modding, and I've hit an extremely simple roadblock.

I first wanted to alter the experience curve, so I went directly for the formulas.gas file. I find that I can alter the experience curve, change the max level, etc etc. But one thing remains constant - every time I use a mod where the formulas.gas file is altered, my character's melee swing always does 1 damage, regardless. What's up with that??

As a sanity check, I started over and did something real simple. I once again pulled out the formulas.gas file from the logic.dres archive, DID NOT modify it, then recreated a tank with the unmodified formulas.gas. I then copied this to the Resources folder, and removed any other nonstandard .dsres files (other mods). The game worked perfectly fine, nothing was different (since I didn't modify anything), except one thing - my character still always does 1 damage. Huh?

So, I remove this "mod" that contains an unmodified formulas.gas, and my character's damage goes back to normal. My question to you good folks, should anybody still be checking on this, is: W. T. F.?

Btw, the tools I used were tankviewer for extracting, tankcreator for rebuilding.

Thanks for any help you can provide (and yes, I know it's probably something stupid I'm doing),
